How do we calculate preliminary estimates?
We use averaged, square metre prices for similar projects, considering the following factors in our calculations:
- Type of building – E.g. project home, individual house, townhouses, apartments etc. An ambitious project will ramp up costs!
- Building materials – E.g. framed, brick veneer, full brick etc. Your choice of materials could raise (or lower) the estimate.
- Finishing Touches – E.g. basic, medium, high, prestige. A high-quality touch is great for the house but will cost more.
- Location of the project – Prices are indexed to the closest capital city and loadings for regional areas, and applied thereafter.
